And this comes just days after the FBI agent in charge of the investigation also said that the IRS "whistleblower" testimony was bullshit.

This "impeachment" is being driven by Trump and it follows his well-established pattern of demanding the start of an investigation without merit such that he and wingnut media can rant and rave about it. He did it in his "perfect phone call" with Zalensky and with his Big Lie ("Just say that the election was corrupt and leave the rest to me and the R. Congressmen.”)

What's crazy is that he is using the same lie (i.e., Burisma) that resulted in his first impeachment and has been debunked numerous times. Truth and facts are unimportant. Getting wingnut media to pick it up and play along is what it's all about (notwithstanding Fox losing $3/4 billion already for having done so).

This country is so fucked up. And it's not just about racist, xenophobic Trumpism. The reason why the vast majority of EU countries have not ended up with threats to their democratic systems as this country has is not because they don't have a Donald Trump. There are plenty of wealthy autocratic/plutocratic "Donald Trump" types in Europe. It is because those countries don't have electorates that are half full of assholes.
