I think the Fair Tax is a good thing, mostly because it takes away the power to buy votes. Others think it is a bad thing. I would urge everyone to do a lot of research and make up their own minds afterward.

I'm not seeing how increasing the taxes paid by the wealty would keep them from allegedly buying elections or individual polititians.

True, it does not address individual campaign contributions, but it does do away with tax breaks in return for votes.

When GAO downsized from 5000 to 3500 in the early 90s not a single SES position was lost.

Lowering labor cost is how privatizing a civil servant provided function saves money. Increased efficiency is bulsh.

If you tax all personal income you don't need a tax on business. I get it, if all spending is taxed it works too.

Funny how lobbyists grew with the Federal budget, eh?
