The Rise and Fall of Obamacare

This article falls far short of fully describing what a festering turd of a program Obummercare is, but at least it makes a start.

Quote:
Obamacare was a pro-industry Democrat scam that destroyed an opportunity for single payer education and reform and ultimately brought devastating political ruin to the Democrats themselves.

while it was a leg up for the insurance industry it may well eventually bring us around to single payer, I hope. also has a few good points like no penalty for pre-existing conditions or the ability to insure your young adult children to age 26.

This is the reality. The OP wants us to believe there is some revolution in the wings heralding single payer after an apocalypse. The OP just doesn't know what the reality is.

Obama sort of made it impossible to repeal the law and if it was repealed a lot of Chumpsters will be up shit creek since they rely on the subsidies or the actual Medicaid expansion themselves.

Most of the hatred of the law is by people who hate to pay for health coverage and deep down are uncomfortable with the idea that a black President did it. There are a lot of people that don't realize 76% of the nation wants to keep it. In other words opposition to the ACA is being driven by people who think Obama was born in Africa. It is more identity politics than anything else. Right now we are at the lowest rate of uninsured ever.

I had to raise this thread from fake news to real news.

Sadly people in red states get cancer like everyone else. That is probably what is going to save Obamacare. Hopefully. You can't tell with someone like Trump at the helm.
He believes in conspiracy theories....

The main and probably only real problem with the ACA is the guy's who name has now become the focal point. In a few weeks that will be removed and my guess so will the outrage at the reform.....

So you don't care about the Americans not getting insurance from their employers?

Nice try at spin doctoring Ice, but you're not going to get away with it as long as I am around.

44% approve of Obamacare, 51% disapprove.

About 17% of Americans are already covered by single payer. (Medicare)

That's 54 million: (2014 data)

http://www.ncpssm.org/Medicare/MedicareFastFacts

Out of 319 million. (also 2014 data)

While people do indeed express dissatisfaction with Obamacare, people also overwhelmingly support most of its key features.
