You never seem to allow facts to get in the way of a good argument.
So now you're down to borrowing the lying Clapper's words to describe Halper's role? That's hilarious!

Try this:

Stefan Halper has been identified by multiple media outlets as the source tasked by the FBI with collecting information about the Russian connections of Trump campaign officials Carter Page and George Papadopoulos.

So, under the direction of the FBI, Halper was asked to make contact with folks inside the Trump campaign. He has been paid in the past by the FBI for "research" and may have been paid for his latest services.

I really don't give a crap what spin you and Clapper wish to use to give a name to the services Halper provided. The fact of the matter is that the FBI sent someone in to Trump's campaign to make contact with two or more individuals. And, there's work circulating that there may have been a person or persons besides Halper. The FBI is now stuck re-characterizing when their "investigation" started as a result of this revelation. Its at the very least damned odd, and at the most agents of the gov't interfering in the 2016 election.

So, in your fevered mind, it's inappropriate, even illegal, for the FBI's counter-intelligence group to investigate the gaggle of foreign agents and Russia-hugging traitors inside of Trump's campaign (Manafort, Gates, Flynn, Papadopolous, Page...)? If the FBI had not investigated these people, we would now have foreign agents inside the White House and in other sensitive administration positions. Your support of that notion is as ridiculous as it is traitorous.

Trump and his traitorous minions met with Russians on dozens of occasions and lied about it repeatedly, yet Clapper is the liar? What a feckin' tool yer boy Whell is.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed that "Trump has told confidants in recent days that the revelation of an informant was potential evidence that the upper echelon of federal law enforcement has conspired against him, according to three people familiar with his recent conversations but not authorized to discuss them publicly. Trump told one ally this week that he wanted “to brand” the informant a “spy,” believing the more nefarious term would resonate more in the media and with the public."

It looks like Trump is correct in assessing the gullibility of fanboys like Whell.

It does not like whell is here to have a meaningful dialog here. He is simply feeding the internet with disinformation. Also note that all his posts are one sided, spreading false information. Sounds like Nunes every single day.

Yet he has never admitted to my knowledge that he is a Trump supporter, always hedges. Wonder why.

He thinks that good tactics. Whell always was intellectually dishonest, pretending to debate but actually a hyper-partisan in it for the joy of the fight. But the Trump swamp has gotten into his brain, and he's degenerated into a willing conduit for rank bullshit.

You nailed it. Difficult to have a conversation with someone who keeps harping on the same talking points, and that is all they are. Designed to feed into the fantasy of an ignorant Trumpkin.

Saw a picture of Kelleyanne on Fox with some placards reading 'Collusion, Delusion'. Blatant effort at hiding the truth.

I think he's actually a true believer of all the projections, innuendo, rumor and garbage he hears within the Wingnut News echo chamber. There are tens of millions of Americans just like him without the necessary critical thinking skills and life experiences to realize they're listening to self-affirming bullshit.

Like the rest of them, he's delusional enough to believe that Fox News, Limbaugh, Hannity and Levin and others in the wingnut echo chamber actually offer him special insight and understanding without the hassle of actually learning and developing an deeper understanding of the issues. He's a happy traveler on this shortcut to idiocy.
