I take it from your answers that you are both 100% happy with the process that immigrants must go through to become legal?
C'mon Karl, you're a better student than to take that logical leap. There is a difference between explaining a process and endorsing it. I believe that I have posted before that more energy should be spent enforcing the laws against the employers who exploit the cheap labor - thus undermining the wage structure for other workers. Reduce the number of employers who cheat and it will decrease the incentive to sneak in.

D-Ray

Blue, LOL! I understand that Obama has been pretty aggressive with illegal immigrant law enforcement.

I imagine you have to compete with a few of the cheaters, don't you? I would also imagine that their share of a job is considerably greater than yours. From what I have read about how I run your business, which I believe, you go above and beyond what the rules require as far as taking care of your crew.

D-Ray

A set of laws are only as effective as the person/people enforcing them.

How about this? A GOP Congressman suggests checking farm workers against eVerify and the Ag industry goes ballistic. The rich part of this is that these industrial scale farm operations are generally run by Republicans.

Are you suggesting that there my be a touch of hypocrisy in the Republican camp?

This is why I always chuckle a little when people say they vote Republican because they want the immigration issue solved. That's a bit like leaving the coop door wide open for the fox, because "somebody" keeps stealing your chickens..........and you want the fox to catch the culprit.
