Garland just appointed Weiss as Special Counsel in the Hunter case at the same time a court filing indicates that plea talks have broken down and a trial is likely necessary. It remains to be seen if this keeps Comer from continuing to float all his (discredited) Burisma talk. Doubtful.

I have not yet heard Joe Biden squealing witch hunt and criticizing Weiss or the judge.
