The GQP continues to sabotage Biden's presidency to ensure that their base will stay broke. No Covid unemployment subsidy, no infrastructure jobs, no minimum wage hike, etc. to keep them desperate so that they can blame their desperation on the Democrats and continue to steal elections. The antics by the GQP members provides them cover like the vote recounts, vaccination resistance, disdaining masks, etc. They are fighting the one thing they abhor which is congressional hearings on the insurrection tooth and nail.

The GQP resistance to a fact fighting commission is an opening for the Dem's they should exploit. The Democrats need to attack with the message that the Republicans refuse to participate and complain about the commission being partisan even before it's formed. Shout the message from every hill and dale. Every Democrat pol needs to be broadcasting it. "What are they afraid of finding?". Put them on the defensive. Say it loud and long enough and even the tRumpkins may start to wonder gee, what are they afraid of us finding out? When the obvious BS excuses start, call them out on those too.

Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance is convening the GJ while New York AG Leticia James is waiting in the wings licking her chops?

I am a bit confused as to the possible sequence of events, though have read that Mr. Vance may be running out of time with statute of limitations on some of the charges. So he gets to go first and then Ms.James? Or will they be combining their charges, or is it too early to make the call. Of concern too is how DJT will react and what he will do to energize his mob.

I think the only mob energizing TIRA* will do at this point is more fleecing. Save poor Donny, send more $$. They may get riled up but another peckerwood roundup ala 1/6 isn't likely to happen.
