The GOP has chosen Sarah Hillbilly Sanders to give the Republican response to the State of the Union address.

The announcement was made by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Thursday.

McCarthy said "everyone, including President Biden, should listen carefully" to her comments which will come following Biden's speech next week.

"She is a servant-leader of true determination and conviction. I'm thrilled Sarah will share her extraordinary story and bold vision for a better America on Tuesday," McCarthy said in a statement.

To which she responds: “I am grateful for this opportunity to address the nation and contrast the GOP’s optimistic vision for the future against the failures of President Biden and the Democrats.”

The GOP is optimistic??? LOL. I suppose they're interested in ensuring that their party continues to be viewed as a party of unprincipled, pathological liars.

The GOP has convinced their base that the majority of Americans are buying what they're selling.

When you convince your followers that the others are their enemy it paves the way for a lot of unsavory things. Saves time and trouble from having to present actual solutions to real problems

No wonder the Republicans are not celebrating the jobs report from last month, better to hand their voters guns and rile them up than educate them. At this rate USA will look like the Gulf oil states in a couple of decades employing guest technical and medical workers.
