I remember a couple years ago on this forum I asked very politely for another member to refrain from the use of the term "retard" and I got lit up. I think there are other folks around here whose sensitivity is a lot lower than mine.

Pretty typical for you and / or Finn to try to spin the discussion and try to make it about the original poster. Fish elsewhere, counselor.

You were discussing your sensitivities to various types of individuals and to particular conduct. I do not see my question as in any was outside the context of the thread. Clearly there are uses of language that are insensitive. You might note that I do not use either of the words at issue in this discussion, nor have I condoned the torture of individuals with disabilities - or any individuals for that matter. Maybe left wing wackos are just thoughtful that way.
