The investigation focuses on Flynn’s acceptance of money from Russian and Turkish interests before joining the Trump administration, a potential violation of the Constitution’s emoluments clause. With few exceptions, U.S. officials, including retired service members like Flynn, are prohibited from accepting money or gifts from foreign governments. Flynn retired from the Army as a three-star general in 2014.

The U.S. government stated for the first time Thursday that Kilimnik provided Russian intelligence "with sensitive information on polling and campaign strategy" during the 2016 election — filling a key link that had been left unanswered by both special counsel Robert Mueller and the Senate Intelligence Committee.

The Treasury Department also noted that Kilimnik, who is wanted by the FBI on charges of obstruction of justice, sought to promote the false narrative that Ukraine, not Russia, interfered in the 2016 election.

He also sought to orchestrate a plan to return former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych to power, according to Treasury. Yanukovych fled to Russia in 2014 after being ousted in the Ukrainian Revolution.

So, Yes, clearly, the Russians meddled in the 2016 election, aided by Donny's campaign manager, helping a corrupt Russian Asset and bungling con man "win".

It has long been suspected but never explicitly stated by the US government that Kilimnik passed internal Trump campaign data from former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to Russian intelligence services. The announcement Thursday establishes a simple and direct channel of communication from the upper echelon of the Trump campaign to the Russian agencies that were meddling to help Trump win.

During the early stages of the Russia probe, officials from both parties said this kind of covert relationship between the Trump campaign and the Russians would constitute "collusion."

This revelation was a long time coming. It took years for special counsel Robert Mueller's team to reveal that Manafort provided internal campaign information to Kilimnik. About a year later, the Senate Intelligence Committee openly called Kilimnik a Russian agent. But neither went so far as to say Kilimnik gave the information to the Russian government. Thursday's announcement closes the loop.

The newly elected Republican Congress of 2022 will pass sweeping election reform legislation that will require ALL citizens to use a photo ID at the polls, (same way they would to buy a gun, get married, apply for Democrat party welfare, etc). And this time around, the LAW will be enforced.

Trump will not win anything; he has too many negatives and has pissed off too many groups.
Desantis is being groomed and seems to have a better understanding of the practical side of politics. His quick response to the unemployment claim disaster that the former Republican governor left him and his successful promotion of Florida despite its high Covid count gave some indication of his political "skill".

Republican politicians on the whole do not want to see a return to TRump. They are afraid to say that lest they be harassed and primaried.

What I believe will happen is a gradual alignment behind this Desantis guy.
