The truth is that Che was a great and charismatic revolutionary fighter but far too nuts to work in the government. Basically, Fidel and Raoul knew early on that they needed to get rid of him but he was too popular to purge. The solution they hit on was to give him tasks at which he would both chafe and fail, then convince him to leave Cuba and spread the revolution to other parts of the world.
So, the Cuban government came out the winners. They got rid of a seriously loose cannon (who also happened to smell very bad), spread the fame of the Cuban revolution around the world and, with his eventual death, had a martyr around which build the cult of Che.

I see you've been brainwashed by the official US Government's line of shit.
Che never wanted to work in the government. He did for a while but his heart wasn't in it. No one had to convince him to leave Cuba and try to spread the revolution. That was what he wanted. As such he was a danger to US business interests in Latin America and beyond. For that reason he was hunted down and murdered by the US government.

Did you intend to provide a link that doesn't support your position?
And, even 4 years ago when that book was published, the fact that the CIA killed Che was really old news.

I've read all of Che's books.
By Che's books I mean the ones that were actually written by Che himself.
That's how you actually get to know the person.
Not by reading books and articles "about Che" written by people with an agenda.

Did you know that, in Bolivia at least, he was almost certainly being run by the Stasi? Did Che know? "Tania" was his controller.

We already know that the CIA was operating with the Bolivian Army Rangers who were hunting Guevara. We've also known that Guevara was executed after capture. Whether a CIA operative or a Bolivian Ranger pulled the trigger is pretty meaningless.
This sort of shit went on all the time in the '60s, '70s and '80s. Remember Salvador Allende? Omar Torijos? Ngo Dinh Diem?

its meaningless if you're assuming that the CIA lead the effort in Bolivia to track down and kill Guevara. I don't think that's a conclusion that can be drawn, though it's a picture that some like to paint to reinforce the marketing effort behind Guevara.
So, if that's what you think, maybe Obama's photo op can be interpreted as kind of like "spiking the football"?

Your statement certainly drew a moral equivalence. So no, you didn't say it. You walked up to it, danced with it, bought it a drink at the bar, offered to make love to it, but you didn't say it.
