A co-worker of mine just lost his house. Somebody in the 1980s had given him a reel to reel deck and a technics turntable which he never used and kept in storage for decades.
Well he gave me them last week an Akai GX-636 and Technics SL-D303. The tape deck is badly stained with smoke and scratches but actually works. The turntable is fair shape and the good news is it came with a Shure M55E cartridge. I didn't have a lot of cash so I gave him $40 for the table and I am planning on giving him some more cash for the Akai.
