It is one of the greatest, if not the greatest, unrecognized popular music masterpieces of the period. When it was released we were rid of Nixon, but we would not be rid of the Vietnam war for another four years. For some of us it was a piece to hold on to emotionally while napalm continued to burn the skin off of Vietnamese civilians.

"As it is, If I Could Only Remember My Name is a shambolic masterpiece, meandering but transcendently so, full of frayed threads." Stanton Swihart, Allmusic, February, 1971

Most of the guys mentioned in this article are Baby Boomers.

Seriously, memes like this just make a lot of people dislike Boomers even more

The ridiculous part, of course, is generalizing some list of individuals to a 'generation.' But agree that the meme is divisive, could be part of the 'let's you and him fight' campaign.

And shaming somebody for hairstyles? Where have I seen that before?
Remember, the first generation of Punks are Boomers (although John Lydon is now a Trumper). They had purple hair then, just not now.

I advise anybody who thinks Boomers are so wonderful to talk to somebody who is in their 20s or 30s struggling to get by in a gig economy (since Boomers sent so may jobs overseas) can only dream of owning a home, and will inherit a planet so fucked up by climate change that's it's going to be impossible to reverse, but hey the boomers were getting rich so who gives a shit?

Don't get me started on how the wealthy boomers skated away free in the real estate fiasco of the early 2000's

As a Boomer who was outsourced in the early 80's during Reagan. Not a Boomer, from the Greatest Generation BTW. It was a fight then with little to show. Greed has no generational preferences. Also deregulation of my industry and wife's also ( Airline & Phone ) greatly effected our jobs, to the worse. Also by the previous generation's greed.
Then we had the 401K's take our legacy retirements also by the GG. The Dems have so far been able to save SS from those who want to privatize it.
Been fighting the environment fight since before the first Earth Day. Again stopped by mainly one party controlled by Coal, Big Oil and Gas.

My first home had adjustable mortgage and was up to 14% before was able to refinance to a fixed at 6%. Now if wages kept up with inflation like home values......

Good to know that you were able to get a fixed mortgage.
