Well they're doing the "WWJD" thing. In other words, giving the nations unemployed the choice between starvation and............starvation?

Yeah, they're starving.
How goes the quitting Chas? I've stopped mentioning it, I've failed so often

Not yet, anyhow.
I've never been on unemployment, but I hear it sucks. I always took the route of taking whatever work I could find,
because I figured it was the "Great American" thing to do. (I've grown up since then.) I can only imagine that if I were to get laidoff, that bills would start going unpaid in short order, even with unemployment. Problem with the shitty paying jobs is, your working, but your bills still go unpaid anyways. Makes those jobs kinda worthless, Huh?
Sounds like the wages need to come up. So people have some incentive to work. You do recall what incentive is, don't you?
Oh, and you're prolly right. They probably aren't starving, they're probably fat, riding around in Bentlys, sipping Chateau Lafitte. And it does give them more time to hang out at Tea Party Rallies and bitch about people living on the dole.

Nope, not rich.
I've been there. Now I'd lose my house etc, but there's no starving in these great United States.

Partly due to things like-----unemployment insurance?
It is a Great Country. I want to keep it that way. And I just don't see that low wages and the elimination of "safety nets" will do anything to help that.

Back in the heady 90s Ohio (and a lot of other States) cut all able bodied men from welfare.
There was much liberal angst and gnashing of teeth. These poor men!
So of course every reporter in the state tried finding them. Nope nada nothing.
Even without unemployment there is all the free meals you could ask for.

You can do it. Just make up your mind that you will.
When I quit 20 yeas ago I just went cold turkey. No patches, no gum no hypnosis. I didn't want to have any excuses like "the damned patches are for shit!" If I succeeded it was because I had the determination. If I failed it would be because I didn't.

I quit for five years once, cold turkey, same as you.
I know how it's done.

I wasn't "telling you how it's done", just relating what worked for me. Whatever works. The important thing is to get off those damned things any way you can.
