You'd love Kansas City. BITD, the machine boss was also a concrete contractor.

Oh yeah. Gutsy gang, that. Boehner makes huge, non specific noise to appeal to the base. But they're going to shelf the bold plan until after the elections.

Same crap we always get from them. Cut everything they don't like, but doesn't add up to squat, then make a lot of noise. Big hat, no cattle.

It is very different from the Dem 08 campaign, make big, bold proposals and do very little

Yeh, really. Obama even said he'd try to kill Bin Laden. Can you imagine?

Huh. That's weird. If they did so little, why is the right so mad? They've spent a year trying to undo everything that was done. I thought they lost because they did "too much too fast". Guess it depends on which is the best way to make them look bad on any given day.

Bush and Obama were almost identical on this issue. They both made exactly the same promise. See, the Ds and the Rs really are the same. The only difference is Obama actually did it. Other than that, exactly the same.

Pretty well compared to the previous administration actually.

It could be much worse. If McCain had won, he (with a snootful of Cialis) would be on the rear balcony of the White House with his wife in matching bathtubs, while Sarah Palin was running the country.

***Edit*** I said Cialis. I'm not sure the above sentence would have made sense with "Buttmonkey."
