adam-troy castro @adamtroycastro

So the Flaming Bilirubin Reservoir called his pal Sean Hannity and opined that people with Coronavirus should just man up and go to work anyway. Especially, one presumes, if they're handling the food at Trump Tower, Mar-A-Lago, or the White House.

Pompeo accuses China of setting back coronavirus prevention efforts

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/06/secr...orts-back.html

This is the only thing this corrupt administration does well - point fingers. This is what they think is leadership?

This week in tRumponomics

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/this-...195307835.html

Quote:

Trump’s modus operandi is to downplay or deny anything that might reflect badly on him, an unbreakable habit that will fail badly as he keeps applying it to coronavirus. Trump has consistently understated the scale of the problem and used his familiar “hoax” defense to blame Democrats for making it sound worse than it is. This week, Trump disputed the best-known fatality rate for the virus and suggested it would be fine for infected people to go to work, as long as they don’t get terribly sick. Epidemiologists desperately wish he would shut up because they’re advising anybody who feels ill to stay home and even “self-quarantine” for two weeks, to make sure they don’t infect others.

Trump learned a bad lesson from his 18-month trade war with China, when he was generally able to talk markets up with some happy chatter about breakthroughs that were always just around the corner. This time, however, markets are completely ignoring Trump and his minions and paying a lot more attention to public health experts.

This is not just a battle for sentiment. One of the very real problems in the United States is a shortage of test kits that can determine whether people with symptoms have the virus or not. The government clearly got caught flat-footed, and a new $8 billion emergency funding bill Trump signed on March 6 could help, eventually. Yet Trump simply fails to instill confidence. Investors know his first instinct is always to blame others, his second instinct is to calculate how he might profit and his third instinct is to see if it’s an opportune time to take out an enemy. At some point after that, he might think about solving a problem in a way that’s in everybody’s interest.
Wall Street has finally realized that Donny is an incompetent fool, and is ignoring his idiocy. About time. Maybe even Faux “News” will have to disown the clown eventually.

Squandered time: How the Trump administration lost control of the coronavirus crisis

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...bbf_story.html

Donny is the first to blame for the slow response. His incompetent toadies, trying to please him vs doing their jobs, are next. All resultant deaths will be on them.

The U.S. Isn’t Ready for What’s About to Happen
Even with a robust government response to the novel coronavirus, many people will be in peril. And the United States is anything but prepared.

President* Donald Trump and his administration have vacillated between ignoring the threat and making wildly unrealistic promises about it. On Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence promised 1.5 million coronavirus tests, but The Atlantic reported Friday that, according to all available evidence, fewer than 2,000 had been conducted in the United States. Trump himself is simply lying about basic facts about the COVID-19 response; despite the testing kit shortfall, he has publicly stated that everyone who wants to get tested can get tested.
Now that Red states are beginning to be affected, perhaps idiot Trumpkins will finally wake up to their Dear Leader's lies.

Donny will find lies can’t stop a virus

https://www.chicagotribune.com/colum...jg4-story.html

Quote:
President Trump, Jan. 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.”

President Trump, Feb. 24: “The coronavirus is very much under control in the USA.”

President Trump, Feb. 25: “I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away.”

President Trump, Feb. 26: “The 15 (cases in the United States) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.”

President Trump, March 5: “…the United States, because of quick action on closing our borders, has, as of now, only 129 cases (40 Americans brought in) and 11 deaths.”

Just days later, there were more than 500 cases and 21 deaths.

There’s a sizable difference between calming a nervous nation and peddling nonsense. Trump has done the latter, and his narcissistic fear that the coronavirus outbreak might hurt him in the polls and in the coming election has taken precedent over public health.

While touring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta on Friday, Trump was asked about a cruise ship being held off the coast of California because some of the American passengers had tested positive for the virus. The president said — shockingly, even for him — that he opposed bringing the ship to shore because it would increase the number of U.S. coronavirus cases.

“I like the numbers being where they are,” he said. “I don’t need to have the numbers double because of one ship that wasn’t our fault. And it wasn’t the fault of the people on the ship either, OK? It wasn’t their fault either and they’re mostly Americans. So I can live either way with it. I’d rather have them stay on, personally.”

The brains of most Trump supporters have been rewired to reject criticism of their hero, but that’s a pretty staggering statement for anyone to ignore. His concern is with the numbers, not with the Americans on board a floating petri dish.

I’m definitely not going to watch your favorite racist hate-monger’s rant, but I’ll assume it’s this:

https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5...b6670e72fd41a9

So, after his typical racist rant, he admits the truth. The legit news sources (which doesn’t include his hate network) have been telling us the truth all along, so why would any rational person bother watching this hate-monger? SMH.

Much slicker a d more rational-sounding than Trump, which is a bar approaching zero height. Still laced with xenophobia and alt right reality. Basically, not admirable as you seem to think. Actually disgusting. The polish of Tuckers performance is in fact a bad thing, due to the propaganda purpose it serves.
