Americans can no longer afford their cars.
This sort of thing impacts affordability. Same make and model, 30 years apart:

Americans are feeling much more upbeat about the economy. Consumer confidence has surged 29% since November, the biggest two-month gain since 1991.

A year ago most economists expected a recession. Now 91% say otherwise.

Clearly, economists are no better than weathermen at predicting the future.

'I would be bragging about it too': Trump economic adviser admits Biden economy is 'good'

Not that the opinion of an idiot like Kudlow means anything, but there you have it.

Fed's preferred inflation gauge falls below 3% for first time since March 2021

Looking better and better for Joe. The Career Criminal won't be able to run on the economy (assuming he's not behind bars), so his surrogates in TX and MAGAWorld are ramping up the "border issue", with the idiot Abbott even threatening to defy a SCOTUS ruling. MAGA "leadership" is lawless, and MAGAWorld loves it.

From an old post on Audiokarma:

Around 2005 I overheard two Americans talking during a smoke break.

"All I want is < long pause > a truck! Just a truck!"

"I know what you mean"

"It doesn't have to be eight feet tall!"

"Nope"

"It doesn't have to have four hundred horsepower"

"Uh-Uh"

"And it sure doesn't need to cost me an arm and a leg"

"Hell, no"

"But try finding one. They don't make 'em anymore"

"Nope"

and things have not gotten better since 2005

The United States economy grew faster than any other large advanced economy last year — by a wide margin — and is on track to do so again in 2024.

Employers added 353,000 jobs in January, blowing past economists' forecasts
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/jobs-re...CNM-00-10aag9b

Quote:
The first jobs report of the year portrays a robust labor market, with hiring far exceeding economists' expectations and the unemployment rate remaining near a 50-year low of 3.7%.

The U.S. economy added 353,00 jobs in January, the government reported on Friday. That's double the forecast that businesses had hired 176,000 jobs last month, according to economists polled by FactSet.
Thanks Joe!
