Culture and politics are territorial. Geography matters. There is no physical barrier at the red/blue divides, at least not yet. But the borders make a difference, because people act differently on different sides of them. I first noticed it hitching across country in the 70s. You wouldn't think Montana and Wyoming would be so different but they are.

The biggest purveyor of COVID misinformation, by far, was President Trump and the Trumpist infotainment complex. It resulted in ~300K unnecessary deaths. Your so-called misinformation campaign about transmission (to the extent it actually existed) caused, if anything, fewer deaths by providing yet another reason to be vaccinated.

Jacob Wohl, 24, of Irvine, California, and Jack Burkman, 56, of Arlington, Virginia, could each receive a year in prison when they are sentenced Nov. 29 in common pleas court. They were indicted in October 2020 on numerous counts of telecommunications fraud and bribery.
