So, if this corrupt Federalist SCOTUS says a president is above the law, why would Biden give up the presidency? He’d be immune from prosecution.

You see how your MAGAMoron arguments work both ways, Whell?
Presidential immunity then. All around!

Don't forget Kamala Harris could ignore any electors she didn't like to ensure Biden stays in office. This of course would open the way for Biden to resign in a couple of years giving us the first woman president.

Gawd. No, the court can't judge acts as policy, but it can judge issues of law about them. Unless they take the position that anything the President does is legal. WHICH THEY DO!

Nixon after he resigned was pardoned by President Ford for crimes committed while in office and this is the best argument I have read so far. Nixon resigned before he was impeached while Trump separately is claiming that he was impeached and found not guilty. So being judged in a court of law is double jeopardy.

Of course, none of these appeals and arguments have any legitimacy, its the usual throw everything we got to impede the criminal process, aka run out the clock.

I still believe that the Georgia case will play out first despite the Feds getting first dibs.

Why Section 3 Disqualification Doesn't Require a Prior Criminal Conviction on Charges of Insurrection
https://reason.com/volokh/2023/12/26...-insurrection/

How will the corrupt far-Reich members of SCOTUS wiggle around this perfectly “textual” argument?

Oh they'll come up with something. I would expect something like "This needs to be decided after the election so as not to interfering with it. Letting the people "speak" so to speak.
Diaper Don loses the election
Diaper Don calls for the certification to be held up while he files charge after charge disputing the results.
That fails and he goes to trial
After getting convicted it gets appealed all the way to the SC.
The SC upholds the conviction
Diaper D calls for sentencing to be postponed
Diaper D says he has to remain free to fight his next case.
DD fights to delay that trial.
DD gets convicted again
DD appeals yadda yadda yadda Supreme Court
Yadda-yadda-yadda conviction upheld
Convict tRump asks for sentencing to be delayed so he can fight his next case
Convict tRump, delay delay delay
wash-rinse-repeat
If he drags this out long enough he may die of natural causes before he sees jail.

'A big fat money judgment' against Trump is headed his way: former prosecutor
https://www.rawstory.com/amp/trump-e...344-2666832344

Quote:
During an appearance on MSNBC on Friday, former federal prosecutor Glenn Kirschner was asked how he expects it to play out. He speculated that the former president could be on the hook for double the $5 million he has already been ordered to pay in the first defamation trial.

Resurfaced report puts scrutiny on Trump's call for FBI headquarters to remain in D.C.
https://www.rawstory.com/amp/fbi-tru...ing-2666844191

Quote:
In the wake of Donald Trump expressing his support for a replacement to the FBI's J. Edgar Hoover building to be constructed in Washington D.C., a report has resurfaced financially linking the former president to a bid to build the new structure, Newsweek reported.

"The FBI headquarters should not be moved to a far-away location, but should stay right where it is, in a new spectacular building, in the best location in our now crime-ridden and filthy-dirty, graffiti-scarred, capital," Trump wrote on Truth Social Saturday. "They should be involved in bringing back D.C., not running away from it."

But according to an Associated Press report from 2017, a firm connected to Jared Kushner and Donald Trump Jr. was among three that bid for the contract.
… but it’s the Biden family that’s corrupt, right Whell? : rolleyes:
