I do both, and have a cd player to boot.
Don't do internet files of any sort, not until they become obsolete. Then I might take an interest. But, honestly, if I can't see it spinning, I don't trust it. Media that doesn't spin just has to be the work of the devil.
(Except when I post from youtube.)
I do understand your point on vinyl, however. I recently bought three Lps off the internet. I was told they were "very clean". He didn't lie, they were the cleanest, hopelessy scratched up Lps I've ever seen. Good thing they were cheap, at least they'll make nice wall decorations.
