You'll see the tombstone that is left when the moderator deletes a post.

Yes, it's gone now but it was there yesterday. It had a notation as to which moderator deleted it and why. It was still visible when Wasillaguy posted this thread.

Frankly, I think whether a post is "disappeared" or whether a "tombstone" is left in its place is a distinction without a difference. I don't see why anyone would be okay with one and indignant about the other.

Just curious. My wife says too much so.

I hope that there is a reasonable explanation for this. And I hope that we get information on it.

More likely than not a person would get an explanation for any action from a moderator when the mod can. In many forums elsewhere a thread such as this would have the plug pulled.
Just like outside of a spammer a first ban and maybe more is a timeout and not a permanent action.
Anything else/more/other you need to send a private message to the staff.

I suspect that we won't get any more information than we already have. The reason given for removing the post is that it commented on moderation. That's against the rules here. A fuller explanation would probably entail another violation of the forum rules.

Ahh, I see. So it is probably better to bury this incident.
