Hopefully, the perp will be brought to accountability by those unafraid to make their community safe, if they can.
Meanwhile, the driver deserves a GFM assist.

In fact, I think that A Clockwork Orange, the book, was more disturbing than the movie.

I'm apparently not the only one interested in the motive. Shall we denigrate Mr. Bah for asking?

Almost as disturbing as the incident itself, is the attitude of some that this is just plain old street fun. There's a reason people act violently, and I don't see how immediately writing it off as par for the course helps us on a path to any kind of resolution.

I don't see xenophobia as a motive, quite the opposite. He looks like an easy mark, the rest aside from robbery was wanton violent assault.

You are probably right as we see young people, men or women beating up on some poor individual here seeming just for the hell of it.

This is why I CC as I look like an easy mark when my arthritis acts up. The last time I thought about it was last week, when a car full of young bubbas flipped me off for no good reason.
First time I recall being flipped off in 25 years, this time I was on the motorcycle. Go figure.

I find the concept of violence for entertainment revolting, if indeed that's what this is. I would hope that when judges sentence these "no motive" crimes, they make sure these people are locked away for the maximum allowable, and that psych treatment is involved. There is simply nothing more depraved than harming the innocent and vulnerable, especially in swarms.

There's about 27 definitions that pop up for the acronym GFM, but the most relevent would be Go Fund Me, so I'll assume that's what you were asking.

The last link I posted does say there's a Go Fund Me set up by his family.
