The Obummer Legacy

And for all that political capital he pissed away, what do we have to show for it?

Obummer care?

A Program where the government subsidizes the Insurance companies to sell overpriced policies.

I voted for him twice and I gotta admit, I was duped.

Quote:
During Obama's eight years in office, the Democrats have lost more House, Senate, state legislative and governors seats than under any other president.

When Obama took office, there were 60 Democratic senators; now there are 46. The number of House seats held by Democrats has shrunk from 257 to 188.

There are now nine fewer Democratic governors than in 2009. Democrats currently hold fewer elected offices nationwide than at any time since the 1920s.

I somewhat ambivalent re Obama. The forces against him were unrelenting.

However, what I do not get is his vigorous cheer leading of the trade deals.

I have a sneaky feeling he is going to follow the Clinton's retirement model. Chicago is after all the Second City.

Considering the "legacy" our last CIC left us I'd say we're pretty damned lucky.

I agree though that Obamacare leaves me cold...and without adequate healthcare. It did squat to lower heath care costs and in fact only encourages more gouging by the heath care industry.

It's not all because of that.

Mid term Democratic turnout hit new lows during his tenure.

I believe a lot of that had to do with liberals being pretty much underwhelmed by his lack of commitment to a progressive agenda.

It sucks.

I looked into it.

Nothing but overpriced Policies with higher deductibles and co-pays than what I already have.

And although our household income is about 300% of the poverty level and under 400% are supposed to be eligible for a subsidy, due to the convoluted way the damned act is written I can't get shit.

So, here I am, still forking out better than 20% of my income for health Insurance, and fortunate to be able to do that by staying on the plan I had when I was working, except that now I have to pay the full nut for it.

You are probably right.

We often times forget that Obama owes George Soros.
