Collusion is conspiracy, conspiring with a foreign entity to affect an election.

Soon after President Donald Trump admitted on Twitter Sunday that the 2016 meeting between members of his campaign and Russians in Trump Tower “was a meeting to get information on an opponent,” his lawyer, Jay Sekulow, admitted he had “bad information” when he claimed last year that Trump wasn’t involved in crafting a misleading statement about that meeting.

I guess "having bad information" is the latest Trump euphemism for lying.

Our boy Whell and his idiot Trumpkin friends whine incessantly that these stories are "fake news" because they come from anonymous sources. Yet time and again, they are shown to be true, as was this one. Where is Whell? Too ashamed to show his face? Rightfully should be.

The spirit of Tricky Dickie still lives in the White House.
Quote:
THE Nixon Administration has developed a new language—a kind of Nix-speak. Government officials are entitled to make flat statements one day, and the next day reverse field with the simple phrase, "I misspoke myself." White House Press Secretary Ronald Ziegler enlarged the vocabulary last week, declaring that all of Nixon's previous statements on Watergate were "inoperative." Not incorrect, not misinformed, not untrue—simply inoperative, like batteries gone dead. Euphemisms notwithstanding, the Nixon Administration's verbal record on Watergate is enough to turn ardent believers into skeptics. Some examples of "inoperative" statements from Administration officials...
Nixon also said, "I am not a crook", in case there was any doubt. Trumpm says no collusion. History repeats itself.

So we now have the Lying Cheating Don.

Nixon: "People have got to know whether or not their President is a crook. Well, I'm not a crook. I've earned everything I've got."

I am going to award myself a BAM, spirit of Nixon lives.

Quote:
As president, Donald Trump has uttered more than 4,000 falsehoods or misleading statements. And the spokespeople and advisers tasked with squaring Trump's version of reality with actual reality must often contort themselves accordingly. Early in the administration, this meant Kellyanne Conway talking about how the administration had “alternative facts.” Later, it was Sean Spicer explaining that he didn't “knowingly” lie to the American people.

On Sunday, they tried a couple of new tacks: asserting that “facts develop” and saying that the president “misspoke” — while saying something he has said dozens of times.

Judge holds Roger Stone associate in contempt for refusing to testify before grand jury in Russia investigation. Andrew Miller, a former aide to longtime Trump confidant Stone, had fought and lost a court battle to quash a subpoena from special counsel Robert S. Mueller III to testify to the grand jury. Earlier this month, a judge issued a 93-page opinion saying Miller must testify.
