Why would you even give a shit?

Now we have two groups who have been duped, the folks that follow her, and the folks that "Worry" about the folks that follow her.

As I understood the OP, Sarah Palin is merely a prop to the main point. The point is that FOX will take whatever steps are available to advance it's agenda, which includes making the conservatives look as good as possible, and trying to embarass or vilify the democrats at every opportunity. Those available steps include misleading video clips to bolster their statements. In this particular case the beneficiary was the SP book tour.

D-Ray

In truth thheir main point is to assist in Murdoch's takeover of the media, they suck up to the Republicans because their tame Funny Cookie Company guys will let him get away with it.

If Palin is as stupid as you feel, would not giving her more media exposure drive the point home? Particularly on Fox?
I posted somewhere on here- I watched her on Oprah. Thought she seemed like a nice woman trying to do what she thinks is right. Liked her a lot more than I liked her when she was "campaigning" (I say that in quotes because actual campaigning is intended to draw votes- something she failed to do at every turn)

However, I certainly do agree that being on Oprah did indeed do just what you say- she did not look like an intellectual giant.

Having said that, I'm certainly not "over the cliff" about her being on TV. She wrote a book. Good luck with that. Hope she makes a lot of money. God knows she earned it after what she's been through.

But, as much as ever, I do not believe she is a good choice for President or Vice President. Shoot, I'd rather not have her working for me. I think she's the kind of person who would come to work on time, do her best, but ultimately make poor decisions. Nice as she may be, I don't think she has the horsepower for the job.

Okay, with that aside- you're not addressing the main point. That being there is an organization calling themselves "News" that sees no issue with substituting footage from one event for another in an engineered effort to make reality fit a preconceived idea. And that is a little alarming. And again I say, if ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or MSNBC were to do such a thing the back lash would be devastating.

How do you figure?

I would never have her work for me. She would be a nuisance. She would never shut up, always believe she knew better and walk out on you whenever it suited her. Why would anyone want a person like that?
She would be a big problem in the work place I am sure.

So Fox is breaking new ground? WOW...like breaking out a file picture or clip is new, unusual, or out of line in today's media coverage of anything.

Maybe you should inform yourself before posting. They described the clip as footage that was "some of the pictures just comin' in to us" from a book signing. Fox has apologized and said that the people responsible would be subject to "serious disciplinary action".

By the way, this is the second time in about a week that Fox has been caught doing something like this. What they're doing is unarguably deceptive and I believe it's deliberate.

Aw come on, John. They're just reporting the news. Agenda, what agenda?

It will be interesting to see what spin Bill O tries to put on this one. Probably say it's just the left wing media nit-picking because they don't have anything substantive to say.

Think Rupert will personally administer the wrist slap to the guilty party? (Before he pats that person on the back, because this type of controversy is good for ratings. Probably expects loads of us lefties to start watching to catch the next lie.)

Maybe Jon Steward will be up for some type of investigative reporting award after this. I think he was responsible for a bit of heightened scrutiny for Fox.

Regards,

D-Ray

Probably pummel him mercilessly with a big handful of very large bills.
