Have you seen their workload lately. They are churning out fewer than half the cases they did 15-20 years ago. Of course, considering the current composition of the court, they can slow down even more and suit me.

I would love the wield the gavel, but I never developed the skill of networking. I wouldn't have a prayer of landing a seat on the Federal Bench. I don't have the connections. It's also awkward to work in Missouri but live in Kansas. As close as the two federal courts in this area are geographically, they are under the jurisdiction of two different appellate circuits.

Strange as that may appear. As you well know, it was neccessary going back to the founding of the two states, century before last. No way were the Jayhawks and the Mules going to submit to any jurisdictional overlap.

Yeah, a bit of history has been brought up as a result of the sports rivalry between KU and MU coming to an end. MU is jumping ship to the SEC to hang out with all of its confederate buddies.
