Please stay away from St. Louis until after the riots are over

We will be going through another round of riots.

A bench trial of a fired St. Louis City police officer just returned an innocent verdict.

He killed a small time hood who crashed a car after a high speed chase, was taped in the police car dash cam as stating "We're killing this motherfucker, don't you know", and 45 seconds later, he did just that.

He then went back to his police car to get a clotting kit, returned to the crashed car to find the hood deceased, and found and removed a handgun. The handgun later returned only prints and DNA that matched that of the officer, with none of the deceased DNA or prints on it, not even partials.

This is going to be another very, very ugly weekend.

The St. Louis City Black Police Officers Benevolent union has called for a guilty verdict from three days ago. This case was tried by the St. Louis City Prosecuting Attorney's office for the state, and they did a good job. here is the pdf of the case...

This is going to open the rift wide open between the black north side and white St. Louis. You have the county Police Department, the white city Police union, and the county PA/DA office in unison on one side, and the St. Louis city black police officers, the city PA/DA office, and blacks on the other.

This case, although much less publicized than the Brown case, is in many ways much worse. With a bench trial, there was no jury, and the judge is now retired, with only a few more decisions to be released from his docket.
