Steve Bannon Indicted. Again.

Longtime Trump strategist and podcaster Steven K. Bannon has been charged with money laundering and conspiracy in connection with the “We Build the Wall” fundraising scheme, for which he received a presidential pardon during Donald Trump’s final days in office.

Bannon’s three-count indictment, which was unsealed Thursday morning, includes charges of money laundering in the first and second degrees and conspiracy in the forth degree. On the top count he faces up to 15 years in prison but none of the counts carry a mandatory minimum term of incarceration upon conviction...

Because Bannon, 68, was granted clemency before a conviction, there is not expected to be a viable issue of double jeopardy in his new case.

I'm a bit conflicted about my former Hokie classmate being indicted because there may be an upside from stealing money from racists and fascists.

He has a minimum of 30 days of paid vacation coming from the Feds.
Looks like he will now accrue even more vacation time from NY State.
Unfortunately our constitution bestows a megaphone on flame throwers like Steve Bannon and Alex Jones. The First Amendment needs to be amended.

And yes, Lock Him Up. No phone, no TV and plenty of booze.

I'm inclined to agree about the First Amendment. Not that it can be done now, anything that could get through the process now would be toxic. This would have to be done so carefully, regarding what can be quashed, and who wields the power to do it. We certainly don't want to get even close to allowing the in-power executive to silence critics.

My comment about 1A was partially tongue in cheek though I have been telling to my close friends that what will bring America to its knees is the misinterpretation of the First and Second Amendments and I believe that with Social Media running/ruining our lives daily, its already too late.
