Bernie or Bust.
I tend to agree with a lot of the sentiment expressed here.

However, many of the “Bernie or Bust” voters who spoke to Yahoo News are undeterred by the prospect of a Trump presidency. Matt Rogina, an assistant chef’s instructor in California, said he’s more concerned about sending a message to the Democratic leadership.
“If it hands the election to Donald Trump, that is the direct fault of the Democratic national party. They’re the ones that have set the policy, they’re the establishment, they’re the status quo that we’re tired of,” Rogina explained. “We’re tired of them pretty much being another corporate party, being a ‘Republican light’ party.”
Belville, the radio host who wrote the “Bernie or Bust” column, argued that electing Clinton could cement American politics in a “far right/center right” state. Though he acknowledged Trump could “do some dastardly things” in office, Belville believes those problems “would open up a lot of people’s minds to more progressive solutions” and move the country to the left.

Trump as president would be an unmitigated disaster. The country and much of the rest of the world would simply come a part at the seams.

All I can say is, 'Fuck. That. Shit.' to anyone who thinks electing Trump will bring about any kind of revolutionary progressive future.
You'll be stacking the Supreme Court in a conservative direction for decades.

And if they don't get the message, then you send it again, harder.

Tough shit.
If the Democrats are going to continue to act like Republicans then that's what they get.

If you want to send a message to the Democratic Party by electing a Trump, then you have successfully stacked the Supreme Court with Republican judges for the next thirty years, affirmed that state Republican gerrymandering is politically and socially accepted, and that you want corporations to be viewed as persons, and you believe that the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts were wrong.
Don't think that your antics, which won't hurt you in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York, won't be a kick in the nuts for those of us in the Midwest, and an absolute unmitigated disaster for minorities everywhere.
If you want to vote Republican because your favorite candidate didn't cut the mustard in the primaries, that is your personal choice. It seems strange that you would rather hurt Democrats everywhere, rather than concentrating your energies advocating for planks in the convention platform that have influence. There is a reason that your candidate ran as a Dem rather than an Independent - he has realized over 50 years that change is best grown from within an organization.

I can't see handing this country over to the likes of Trump and his stooges under any condition. I don't see that as punishing the Democratic Party. I couldn't care less about that. It's the effect that ass hat will have on this country. We already have enough brainwashed people who think personal wealth is a sign of divine favor and righteousness, we don't need to poison the well any further.

I thought that angry, resentful old white guys were Trump supporters, not Bernie's. Are you hipster wannabee or something?

Whether Bernie wins the nomination or not, he has started a movement that cannot be stopped. Voting against Hillary buys nothing other than total GOP dominance till the 2020 census and the Supreme court will be totally Talibanized.
Elect Shrillary and then hold her to one term while her feet are held to the fire.

Obama has already screwed the pooch on that by nominating Garland.
He could have put a real liberal in there by recess appointment.
That's the way you handle asshole obstructionists.
But he didn't have the nutsack.
Or, he's doing the bidding of his corporate owners.
Or, both.
That's what I think it is, both.
No nutsack, and he's owned.
