So, only 43% of all Americans approve of Obama, while a similar percentage of a little less than half of Americans likes Trump. In other words, about 40% of Americans like the way Obama does his job and about 20% of Americans like the way Trump runs his mouth. Big fucking deal.

Both Obama's lower numbers and Trump's increased popularity have pretty much everything to do with the Paris attack and the refugee crisis, neither in any way Obama's fault, and the San Bernardino attack, strictly speaking not his fault either but it did happen here and happened on his watch.

One of those headlines which seems designed to influence.

To get a better picture I would want to know how does his rating compares to
other two term modern presidents at this period of their presidency.

Presidents tend to wear out their welcome after several years.

Obama over all has done relatively well given the hostile Republican house.

The public seems to have lost confidence in his policies relating to ISIS.

There are reasons for this:
The policies appear incoherent.
Obama early underestimation of ISIS.
ISIS has waged a successful psychological warfare.
The anti Obama foreign policy drumbeat by Repubs, who have access to vast and varied propaganda outlets.

However Obama has kept to his basic pledge of not getting our troops involved in meat grinders.

I remember when Obama was coming under fire for killing too many people with drones; the same ones who complained about American terrorists being killed overseas by Obama now want him to invade Syria and Iraq. Just imagine the criticism he would be getting once the aluminum boxes with dead American kids started arriving back here at the airports.

The religious extremist who shot up the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado is not any different from the killers in California; it is pretty obvious they all took advantage of American gun laws to do their murdering. You will not find anyone in the GOP willing to look at that issue. The next massacre is just around the corner.
