Cleveland rocks.

Right on the heels of being crowned the manliest city, and after years of recognition as being the undisputed King of Rock and Roll, we have been called the coolest city in the midwest.

Well second coolest. Chicago doesn't count, too hoity toity

As a celebration we're gathering at the river, going to have a bonfire

Cleveland is awesome if you love rock and roll....
I remember listening to WMMS back in the 70s
every Friday at 5:55PM they herald the weekend by playing "Born To Run" Ian Hunter's "Cleveland Rocks" and "I've Got Friday On My Mind" but not the Easybeat version
IIRC....

I guess I shouldn't knock Ohio since all of my primary, secondary and post secondary education took place there....I turned out all right...didn't I? lol

lol

Wmms has become more talk and what music they play is a fair bit headbangish now, guess it's to be expected as we get old enough for the 'good' songs to be played on the oldies station!

To temper our joy at being recognised for being the totally cool folks we've always been (), Modell might make the football hall of fame. Should be the hall of infame!

So, Pete, since the Modell family no longer owns the Ravens (they're actually owned by a guy with Baltimore roots!) can I count on your support this Sunday?

I will remain neutral Sunday. I have a couple of really good books that I am reading.

Aw, c'mon, Don! The Chiefs will get there again.

Someday.

Maybe.

Seriously, it ought to be a very good game. A strong offense against a strong defense and brothers on opposite sides of the field. It could really be a classic.

The spread is a little more than a field goal in favor of San Francisco but I have a feeling.........

Gosh John just have me vote for Obama's Dem replacement in '16

For some reason I'm just not into it this year. I hope it's a good game though.

Sidenote I don't completely blame Modell. The city had a ten year lease and were building Jacobs' palace (for instance, the player locker rooms have Italian marble), and they were giving him basically nothing but the cold shoulder. That said he should've gone to the press.

The 49er defense is also good. It should be an excellent game. I'm going with the youngster and the 49ers. I have fond memories of being drunk at, IIRC Barnaby's, at One Embarcadero back in 1985 with about an equal mix of also drunk Miami and 49er fans—Ah, the memories.
