I strongly believe our culture of violence is also a contributor to the rise of mass shootings. We've made killing a game and victims are nothing but points to be scored. Violence permeates our entertainment via movies and television, and it obsesses our young through video games. Kill as many as you can and win a gold star. Perhaps this is too simplistic, but then sometimes the answer is the obvious choice.

I think the degree to which that theory is valid is very weak.
Other countries with very little gun violence also have violent tv shows, and gaming entertainment.

What other countries with little gun violence don't have are politicians who are beholden to the NRA.

We have two things other countries don't have:

1. Very vast numbers of guns.
2. A gun culture, which conflates gun ownership with masculine power.

I suspect both factors play a part.

He also forgot to mention that as the mental health facility was emptied of Republicans, they were told; "The people out there will tell you you're crazy. Don't listen to them. They're the ones that're crazy.".

You can substitute the word "crazy" with "stupid", "racist"...........
