There are hunting rifles and shot guns that are semi auto in operation along with pistols. A cowboy pistol like the colt .45 is a single action. The hammer needs to be cocked each time to fire.
The problem as I see it, the out dated mentality by a vocal few that really have been influenced by others who only have profits in their heart. Into believing all kinds of untruths and fears.
The nation needs to be able to regulate the weapons. Pass laws to protect the gun owner and public. Have them pass background along with training and get insurance be licensed. Keep track of ALL sales also.

We regulate everything else... we ought to be able to regulate guns.
I like your idea of backgrounds, training, insurance, and license and tracking all sales.

I have no problem with doing any of those as a requirement. Just as long as it is the same in all fifty states and US territories!

Not like it is now where some states have little to no laws and others have greater oversight.

Face this fact, as long as politicians are voted into office the gun is here to stay.

Maybe this time will be different. Maybe politicians will finally wake up and do their job of protecting their constituents. Maybe. But that easy NRA money is just too tempting.

Keep an eye on her. This isn't the last time we've heard of Emma.

The GOPpers may have a hard time defending Trump and gun carnage.
And more importantly, most Democrat's are becoming independents and not looking for the triumvirate of Schumer, Pelosi and Feinstein to lead them over the cliff time and again. And Hillary, no one loves you any more or cares what you have to say, stay away and say nothing.

I had predicted to myself that the AR-15 type rifle would become the preferred weaponry of mass shooters for their accessorizable firepower. Out of the box, it's a compact rapid fire high capacity capable weapon of mass murder. High capacity magazines, bump stocks and other accessories permit rapid automatic rate firepower. Fun for the shooter, not so much for their human targets.
So, we have the NRA and their Pub' field hands to thank for preserving our "God-given" Constitutionally protected right to serve as human targets in public shooting galleries.

Yep!

Just go any range and it takes little time to notice the degeneration and capability of the shooter there.

I roll my eyes at the ""Gangsta"" stance pistol shooters!
