Anyone use bitcoin?
I did a rudimentary review (read a Wiki article) and don't understand much more than when I started. The reason I started looking is that an ad came across my phone about putting an IRA in bitcoin, which struck me as an absolutely ridiculous proposition. I suppose this is just another example of me becoming an old fart.

Here is another old fart, equally as ignorant.
Every time I here someone talking about Bitcoin, I start to hear Jim and Tammy.

Up in the clouds meant something different to Jim and Tammy watchers than it does to bitcoin users.

I've used Circle omce, not much different than PP. It was a couple years ago, opened an account found at the time you transfer in cash from your bank and then "pay cash" with bitcoin, there were no fees. Things may have changed a little but probably not.

Don't have it, use it, or trust it, I effing detest anything even remotely associated with anything that looks like internet gamer fanboy culture sleaze.

If it wasn't for PP's policies of holding and not releasing funds, in my case, when server bills need to be paid and they held and never releasing site donations including mine, there would be no bitcoin.

Not a chance!
With it becoming ever increasingly harder to talk to a real person when needing answers to any problem. Why go to a financial one anonymous in nature?

Because PP will hold and not release your funds without warnings of any kind. Have you ever just dialed up Paypal to ask a real person something?
I got no irons in this fire but like I posted, if it wasn't for their newer business model there would be no bitcoin.
