I'm sure MAGA Lardo's performance after contracting Covid has something to do with this.

Astounding that this simple statistic does not move the needle on vaccination rates. The rate went up up a bit for two weeks after news broke on the Delta variant and now we are regressing again. Nobody is saying this part out loud, but I see a pretty cold calculus at work: If conservatives can get another Covid wave started, not only would that make Biden look bad, but it might spark another round of mask mandates and business closures. Then in 2022 Republican candidates can run against the "tyranny" that they themselves made necessary.

That plan may be evil, but it shows grit, and the courage to make the tough decisions.

We need to do what France is doing. Getting the vaccine is still a personal choice, but, public venues such as restaurants, cinemas and theatres will only allow people who have been vaccinated.

I think it should be the standard response for any who can be yet refuse to be vaxed.

You are on your own, no gov bailout if or when you get sick, no stimulus money. Companies around here are not mandating the vax just refusing to pay sick days or excused days when employees get sick with c-19 if so inclined.

I agree. Conservatives always liked the idea of 'tough love.' Time to give them some. It will save some lives, and change the narrative to "If you don't want to get sick, get the shot, we aren't putting restrictions back on to protect you."
