That would be a lukewarm policy, consistent with a lukewarming planet.
It's not lukewarm in Southern California today Whell....

Heatwaves set records, trigger health warnings in US and Europe
https://www.reuters.com/world/wmo-wa...es-2023-07-18/

It's getting worse and worse. Repube response? "Plant 1 trillion trees!". Sigh. Whell's World.

‘We are damned fools’: scientist who sounded climate alarm in 80s warns of worse to come
James Hansen, who testified to Congress on global heating in 1988, says world is approaching a ‘new climate frontier’

Repubes, of course, and their Big Energy sponsors, are primarily to blame.

Trouble awaits Florida’s housing market as the state just lost another home insurer
https://fortune.com/2023/07/22/housi...-pull-out/amp/

A few more hurricanes, and FL will be without any insurance carriers. They’re coming, made more and more violent by global warming, without a doubt, as anyone smarter than Whell fully understands.

Why should they care? They'll be dead and gone by the time the shit hits the fan.

Here it is, what a lot of us were dreading when Texas banned water breaks beginning September for construction workers. A 24 year old succumbed to the heat and his mom is suing the company. This is a precursor to what can happen when the law goes into effect.

A 24-year-old died laying cable in the Texas heat. His mom is suing.

Quote:
When the ambulance picked up 24-year-old Gabriel Infante, his internal body temperature was nearly 110 degrees Fahrenheit.

It was heat stroke, and emergency responders rushed him to the hospital. Infante had been at work, laying fiber optic cables on a 101-degree day in San Antonio, when he’d started acting confused and dizzy. He’d fallen twice, and his best friend had started pouring water over him, trying to cool him off.

It's 1865 all over again. Texas needs their 'statehood' rescinded and their so-called government put under federal control until they can adequately govern themselves again.
