One birthday a few years back she hands me a case and a motherboard after listening to me bitch about about stuttering frame rates playing microsoft Combat Flight Simulator. So I put a triple core black AMD processor and dual video cards and as much memory as i could shove into it.
SATA drives and all. Cost was the main factor, $350 building myself as opposed to $1200 for somebody else's frankenstein creation.
Patty was fed up with me bitching so when she bought the initial pieces and saw the look on my face, her reaction was,"So what, you build stuff, this ain't rocket science." You see what kind of shit I have to put up with just to be a pampered lil lapdog...
Oh yeah, steady 50 frames per second in Flight simulator! I hope she doesn't get it into her head to buy me one of those kit airplanes! I've crashed and burned so many times that I'm stupid reckless, reference my reply in pete's thread about WW1 pilots, it kinda runs in the family.
