Koch to be GM's CRO

Just saw where Al Koch is to be named GM's Chief Restructuring Officer.

Can you believe it, hiring a Democratic politician to clean up GM?

From the sound bite I just got it seems OK.
"The 67-year-old Koch was interim chief financial officer of Kmart Corp. when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2002, the Journal said. Koch also spearheaded a turnaround of Champion Enterprises Inc. that allowed the manufactured-home builder to avoid bankruptcy, the Journal reported."

Yeah, but he is a Democrat, everyone would have been happy if they had appointed Chris Cox.

I don't care what anybody sez, just because he was Governor of NYC, don't mean he can run GM. Patronage run amuck.

If they were smart, they would've hired me. I've been fixin' GM's for 40 years.
