The Republican party leadership is still thinking they are able to control the extreme
elements. Long after Trump is gone from the scene this party has told the rest of us what what. They are not going to stop until having complete control. Happy to use up and discard when no longer needed supporters. The problem is the extremists may well take control and go after the old guard. This is a powder keg waiting for the fuse to be lit.
