If I don't like being lied to and talked-down to and patronized and played for a fool, as much as you seem to think I shouldn't like it, I should bloody leave this planet, because there isn't a leader on it anywhere, to my knowledge, that doesn't do it.
Or I can make allowances for politicians being in a system that pretty much makes them what they are, and not be a fool who goes without supper because the cook is surly.
Now I am able to 'opt out' of other such situations sometimes. I don't watch any commercial TV, as a rule, because I find the commercials dishonest, manipulative, and insulting, and I have alternatives.

But the thing is "The American People" are the system!!! The voter who is supposed to be in control collectively (you like that word) over the government.
The problem I see within the system, the government has gained control over the masses and divided them. The people are clinging to parties and agendas, all the while loosing morality and honor as a compass.
Your more than entitled to your opinion, but to say it's ok and the way it is, is in fact the problem. It's ok because it's my guy lying?
And the black crap needs to stop it only shows ignorance.

What law was broken?
somebody tell me and demonstrate any criminal activity on the part of the Administration or State Department. No law was broken.
Ambassador Stevens made the decision to go to Benghazi. Whether he made a request for additional security or not he nevertheless made a decision that turned out to be tragic.
This is just bullshit just in case they decide to impeach Obama if they breach the Senate.
Anyone that thinks the GOP and the right wingers have a legitimate issue with Benghazi must have a pretty low IQ.

Saying 'the American people are the system' is to rather ignore the baroque reality of the dance in DC between the elected and their moneyed suitors, with waves and smiles to the millions in the media-mediated gallery who gape at the pretty clothes and pay heed to gossip from their fav columnists.
But if you yearn for good honest government, I commend you to the progressive movement, always the bearers of the torch of reform. You'll never get to utopia, but improvements are possible from time to time.
I also think of the old aphorism about laws and sausages: it's doesn't do to inquire too closely into how either are made....
