Picked up a Fisher 500B w/case today. Non working condition and could become a long term project.

You guys suck.

I wasted half my day off running around to thrifts looking at nothing but worthless junk.

We've got like a trillion thrifts here with jack zero in all of them.

1960 Kienzle Weltzeituhr - World time clock

Diameter one foot. Enclosure made of pure brass, weighs six pounds. 25 euros in our second hand store. Purchased it, went home and checked Ebay.

Holy shit - 250 euros and more is the price for this beauty!

Great score. I am a watch/clock buff myself, not a collector. What is that black marks on the rim of the clock?

The glass is domed. The clock is a fine tool, at one glance I see if my AK and PC friends are already got up.

Some beauty!

Reminds me there is a solid brass clock in the neighborhood store which I hesitantly passed and it has since been nagging me. I should return for
it.

Went back and the clock was sold. Damn!

Noticed a lot of hipsters visiting the stores. I usually just go there for used
books but the hipsters collect anything that is "vintage".

They are now spreading out into Brooklyn. That is bad! Anywhere these
people go the cost of living zooms. They messed up Williamsburg for the
Puerto Ricans...$7000/month apartment and are now pressuring the
Poles out of Greenpoint.
