Things are in the saddle, and ride mankind. The economy does not exist for man; man exists for the economy. Pensioners do not contribute to the economy, so it is absurd to support them.

Careful with your hyperbole, pensions are taxed from what I know.

They are indeed, though a few states exempt state and Federal employee pensions (e.g., Pennsylvania). Even there, they still pay property taxes, sales & fuel taxes, and taxes on investment income.

I guess this is tongue in cheek because my pension from Bell gets taxed in Canada (non-resident) and taxed here. In truth I bring more money into the country than I get from it.

Yes.
The spite and malice are strong in the right wingers now. Your accounting tricks will not fool them for a moment! Go back to Canada, you foreign parasite!
(The above parodies right wing positions, but not all that much. The party of angry white males isn't letting itself be confused by the facts!)

So hypothetically separate dems and repubs and isolate them? Would be the end of all of our existance. Face it both sides need each other to stop and balance the extremes.

The other day, I came across a thread full of lunatic Republicans dreaming of all the wonderful things they wish to foist upon us with their so-called "mandate". At the very top was;
"Republicans must eliminate the word 'we' from the American language and replace it with 'I' ".
I always liked the great American mantra of "United we Stand, Divided we Fall." It's gotten us through some very difficult times. I guess these people think they're somehow going to build a stronger nation...........with selfish greed and disregard for their fellow citizens. Good luck with that.............

Bullshit.
It's the Republicans that are extremists.
The Democrats have moved so far to the right in the last 40 years trying to keep up with them that they are now to the right of where Eisenhower was in the 50's.
There is no left in the US.
And the Republicans are so far to the right that they think Barack Obama, an Eisenhower Republican, is a so************************t.

Dear God how I would love to, sort of a return to civilization.

I agree with you, it is called moderation. I read a line somewhere which IIRC (paraphrased) "there is no entitlement that a Democrat does not like nor a tax cut that a Republican does not like". Both the people and the country will go broke. A Greek tragedy.
