I live about 45 miles from San Francisco in "wine country". The people fleeing San Francisco are fetching up here and, as a result, real estate prices and rentals have gone through the roof. Here $3,000.00 will get you a 1 bedroom apartment. A studio can be had for $1,500.00. Want to rent somebody's spare bedroom? Figure on $800.00 to 1,000.00.

I think the next time I move it'll have to be back east.
