The latest from the Freedumb caucus is "Say no to Kevin" in round 1 and they are promising a surprise nomination in Round 2. Total silence on Santos the Imposter, so I will assume he will be sworn in. Repugnants especially Kevin will make themselves the laughing stock for the next term for one lousy vote. Would be poetic justice is he does not win the speakership.

I just read that he is moving into the office once occupied by Congressman Chris Collins, a New York Republican who was subsequently indicted, arrested, and convicted of fraud and lying to the FBI.

The party of law and order indeed.

Can the Democrats vote on who gets to be speaker of the House this time? If so, they should vote for him just this one time. This would enrage the FREEDUM Caucus to the point of never endorsing anything from him for the next two years

Couple of interesting items on the 118th Circus. Expecting to be elected, Kev has already moved into the speakers offices. Hope the movers are standing by.

And then this comment really irked me. From WaPo, “We may have a battle on the floor, but the battle is for the conference and the country, and that’s fine with me,” McCarthy added. Country needs a floor battle on the House floor?

Bets are that he will not be elected on the first ballot. C-Span will be the most watched channel (or feed) today. We don't have cable and I will stream the festivities on my PC for this must watch event. Lets never forget that this McCarthy asshole voted to overturn the 2020 election of Biden after blaming Trump for causing the insurrection.
