After having seen John's well organized bench, I will bring some balance back into the world by showing my mess:

The space had been my wife's sewing area and she left her pegboard, corner table and thread racks for me to use (she wanted a carpeted room to sew in).

Regards,

D-Ray

So here's the rest of the mancave:

I have the Utah speakers down there now, though, and I am much happier with them.

Regards,

D-Ray

I love the multi-head floor lamp.

People bring me stuff that doesn't work... I monkey around with it until it works. Doesn't get much better than that.

I know. I fix things for a living too. And, I really do get a charge out of solving problems. Nothing like making idle machinery come back to life.....whatever it is.

But, I have to go to it. Must be great to be able to do it at home.

Regards,
Dave

Yeah, I was excited to see it when I drove past a garage sale. I thought the lady said she wanted $50 and I was gonna pass, but she corrected me that it was $15. Most of the decor is garage sale, thrift store or Craigslist. I used the frame from my old waterbed for the record shelves.

D-Ray

I have a lot of respect for people who are proficient at fixing things. I get a charge out of what little I can do, but, with ten thumbs, I'd go hungry if I had to do it for a living. I wish more people realized that not everything has to be thrown away when it quits working right - and that we manufactured products that were of sufficient quality that they are worth fixing.

Regards,

D-Ray

People come to you with their problems and you help resolve them. In a somewhat different way, that's "fixing things", Don.

Regards,
Dave
