I agree about the other countries. Let them all kill each other and be done with it. That's all they have been doing since the beginning of time anyhow. They don't want our help anyway, and when they do (like Kuwait), we don't get so much as a kiss my ass when we save theirs. Anyone know of any documentation of us getting paid back for our efforts (even in oil maybe)? IMHO we left enough American bodies in France to last us at least a few hundred years. I say beef up our missile defense and screw them.

If only missile defense worked and didn't cost hundreds of billions. Star Wars has been one of the biggest scams played on the American public by the military/industrial complex. We don't even have a friggin' rocket to launch satellites into orbit, but we're supposed to hit a bullet with a bullet a hundred miles up?

Obama a centrist? His historic voting record points to just the opposite. Keeping the Bush policies wrt national security is not a reflection of Obama's politics, but rather, the necessity of the Bush policies. Further, if you consider the people that Obama selected for his cabinet and administration, you'll find that most are far left of center. Obama is not and never was a centrist.

My view is he was trying to work across to the center and right, if not there might have been even more gridlock going on. The party not in the White House is doing a pretty good job of controlling the direction Right now.
