Money quote, at the end, from Senator Graham, talking about GOP primaries that are a fight for an angry, bigoted, populist base that precludes general election victory:

Quote:
As Senator Graham told The Daily Beast, “that’s what so stupid about this thing. It’s like buying a ticket on the Titanic after you see the movie. You know how it ends.”

Which is why I agree with Bernie Sanders.

Quote:
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) admitted Wednesday that he is rooting for Donald Trump to win the Republican nomination.

During a CNN town-hall event, Sanders told moderator Anderson Cooper that he liked his odds against the real-estate mogul.

"Frankly, I'm prejudiced: I want Trump to win the Republican nomination," Sanders said. "I would love the opportunity to run against him. I think we'd win."

I suspect this is in reaction to the fact that Bernie is Jewish.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewir...ws-gun-control

Quote:
Conservative rocker Ted Nugent believes that gun control is a Jewish-led conspiracy.

A meme shared Sunday on Nugent's Facebook page alleges that Jewish leaders, including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, are behind a concerted effort to confiscate Americans’ guns. The meme showed a small Israeli flag stamped on each individual’s face below the title: “So who is really behind gun control?”

In his caption, Nugent refers to the Jewish politicians as "punks" who "hate freedom":

When it became clear that Trump wasn't going to go away, HuffPo decided they needed to cover him as a political phenomenon, not the very bad joke that he is.
