Probably so Rob.. but until then, sounds like it's time for a free for all at the thrift store..
Wonder what happens when the cops show up as you're walking out the door without paying for a cart of treasures?
You whip out the law to show to the cops. I only have cash, but they can't accept it, so it must be free.
I'd love to be the first to test it. Bummin I don't live there.

I suspect it would give you a chance to exhibit your prowess as a jailhouse lawyer to Sweettooth.
Be advised, Sweettooth's interests and abilities lie in more earthy pursuits.

Read something today.. Lady's house got broke into. They stole an acoustic guitar that belonged to her husband that had just died a few monts before...
One of the detectives kept looking for it, and found it in a pawn shap a few months down the road. The article said the pawn owner demanded $250 for it, so the detective got donations from people at the station to buy it back....
I don't get it.. STOLEN... seems the owner either had to give it back, or be charged with fencing stolen property..

Could be. Could also be that the politicos are pissed about all the sales taxes they can't collect on all those transactions. The wording in the bill suggests that if you engage in cash transactions more than once a month, the state will deem you a retailer of second hand merchandise. Non-profits are exempt.

Used to have a buddy who ran a second hand store.
According to him, the government can track a house, or a car, but they can't track junk.
Looks like now they're going to try. And they're gonna lose money doing it.

You ever heard of a government that missed a good chance to lose money?

That's because they didn't spend enough in the first place.
