It's all part of MAGA's strategy to make people fear what a negative court decision against Trump would portend. Indeed their arguments against using the plain language of the 14th Amendment to disqualify Trump is that it would unduly rile up the nation, notwithstanding conservatives' normal fealty to constitutional literalism.
