Sheriff Joe Arpaio in contempt of federal court, judge rules.
"It's official: A federal judge has found Sheriff Joe Arpaio in civil contempt of federal court. A federal judge ruled that the Maricopa County lawman and three of his top aides violated a federal court order meant to curtail racial profiling in his agency, according to a ruling issued Friday." He's always been kind of an asshole, I'm not surprised.
If he's put in jail they outer make him wear pink underwear..and eat nuthin but bologna sandwiches.

It occurs to me that republicans seem to view black, Mexican, LGBT, Muslims and poor people in the same light as Nazi Germans once viewed Jewish people. We must be vigilant that it goes no further.

He won't spent a minute in jail. They'll hit him with a fine instead. And then someone will start a "Go Fund Me" page which will generate a couple million dollars.

Maricopa County is fucked up...It ain't just the sheriff. The former prosecuting attorney we were dealing with was a complete lazy POS. There is/was case after case after case sitting on her desk that hadn't been touched in almost two years. The one that took her place, while a bit more apologetic, ain't much better. Been 22 months since my kid was killed and they just got the first of the extradition paperwork to the Feds in April. That is just the first step in a very long process. Probably be a bit quicker if I was wealthy and influential, but I am just another schmuck and not even an AZ resident, so why should they care?

I doubt that would have made a difference unless you were a crony of Sheriff Joe, it didn't make any difference for my cousin Jaron Norberg's son.
